The NFL legend, Tom Brady just lost a huge sum of money! That is said to be due to his investments in the cryptocurrency company, FTX. The seven-time Super Bowl winner was offered an equity stake for becoming the company’s brand ambassador. However now, Tom Brady feels tricked.
Along with his ex-wife, Gisele Bundchen, Brady had invested a huge stake in the company. Unfortunately, things have come crashing down and have left both Brady and Bundchen in a critical situation. In the midst of the crash, FTX filed for bankruptcy last November. Thus, various other stakeholders, along with Tom Brady, have lost their entire investments in the company.

Brady faced an appalling loss of a total of $30M, which he received for work pitching FTX in advertisements and several conferences. Back then, Bundchen had also gained $18M in stock. However, now including the investments, it is estimated that Brady and Bundchen together faced a shocking loss of up to $70M.
The CEO of FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried, is stuck with facing federal fraud-related charges. Therefore, besides the financial losses and to make the situation even worse, the ex-couple is now threatened to make the repayment back to the company and is getting sued. It’s not just Brady who has suffered this unfathomable loss. Shaquille O’Neal, Larry David, Naomi Osaka, the tennis player, and Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors have gotten sued as well.

As per a bestselling author, Tom Brady was apparently paid $55M by the now-fallen CEO, Sam Bankman-Fried. The amount was credited to the NFL star for a week’s worth of work total over a period of 3 years. “He paid Tom Brady $55M for 20 hours a year for three years,” said Fried’s subordinate, Lewis.
Therefore, even after losing $30M of his investments, Tom Brady still managed to add $25M to his wobbling net worth. The NFL legend still feels cheated and tricked. According to Lewis, Brady really liked Bankman-Fried but now he feels tricked and angry and does not want to have anything to do with this anymore.
