The two ex-coworkers seemed to have united over their opinions about C.J. Stroud. Each took to platform X, formerly Twitter, to voice their thoughts. Bayless was blown by the rookie’s performance and stated that “CJ on his way to having greatest rookie QB yr ever,” before showering praise for the team’s coach, “Texans are legit – so well coached.” However, Sharpe went a step forward, foretelling a rare possibility.

“C.J Stroud has played the best qb in the NFL this season,” Sharpe opined, before going on to say, “Could become 1st rookie 2 win MVP since J. Brown in 1957.” Uncle Sharpe and Skip Bayless had long been one of the most popular sports analyst duos and co-hosted ESPN’s ‘First Take’ which had millions of views tuning in each week.
