Shedeur Sanders says Alabama and Georgia could beat the Cowboys—agree or just hype?

Quanell X Farrakhan Jr. is no stranger to making bold statements, and his latest takes are no different! This top-ranked 4-star wide receiver just made waves by committing to play for Deion Sanders at Colorado. But it’s not just his choice to join the Buffaloes that’s grabbing headlines—it’s his spicy takes on the NFL that has everyone splitting up.

Football’s Greatest Moments dropped a tweet that’s been blowing up, featuring Farrakhan Jr.’s spicy take: he thinks Alabama and Georgia could easily take down the Cowboys . “I feel like teams like Alabama, Georgia could beat teams like the Cowboys, because I hate the Cowboys with a passion,” Farrakhan Jr. said. “And I definitely feel like Dak Prescott s—- honestly, so Georgia and Alabama could just do their thing.” When asked if there’s any NFL QB better than Dak Prescott, the WR didn’t mince words. “Oh, my god. Almost any NFL QB on the roster,” he clapped back. Yeah, he’s not here for the Prescott hype.

But Farrakhan Jr. ain’t just all talk—he’s action, too. The 4-star WR committed to Colorado, picking Sanders’ Buffs over heavyweights like Alabama, Nebraska, and Texas A&M. His decision shifted when Colorado made an offer in May, and after a visit to Boulder, he was sold. “Really just the feel when I got up there,” he said. “Them treating me like family. Everything was so real down there.”

And let’s not forget, Farrakhan Jr. is a hot prospect. Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 180 pounds, he’s ranked as the No. 312 player nationally, the No. 44 WR, and the 48th-best player in Texas, per 247Sports. He’s joining a Colorado team that’s already shaping up to have a killer 2025 class, including another 4-star recruit, offensive lineman Chauncey Gooden.

Coach Prime’s (that’s Deion Sanders, in case you missed it) Buffaloes are building something special in Boulder, despite a rough first season. With the 2025 class top WR recruit and other talented players, Colorado’s ready for a strong comeback. “I’m big on relationships,” Farrakhan Jr. asserted. So, whether you’re into the Cowboys drama or excited for Colorado’s rise under Coach Prime, one thing’s clear: Farrakhan Jr.’s a name to watch.

And if Sanders’ hype is any clue, this is just the start of a new era for Colorado football.

The Buffs back on track: Sanders hypes Farrakhan Jr.’s commitment

Looks like Sanders is taking his recruiting game to whole new levels! Landing a 4-star talent like Quanell X Farrakhan Jr. is just what Coach Prime needed after the NCAA drama back in July. Remember when he slipped up and said, “Everybody we got at, we got. They haven’t announced it yet but…”? Yeah, that put him in hot water with the NCAA bigwigs. But now, he’s back in the game.

Last season, the Buffs started hot with a 3-0 run, but things cooled off fast, ending at 4-8. Sanders ain’t dwelling on the past, though. He’s zeroed in on the 2025 and 2026 classes to boost Colorado’s roster. After Farrakhan Jr.’s commitment, Colorado’s class jumped from No. 86 to No. 78 in the Rivals team rankings.

Sanders couldn’t hide his excitement, taking to X to shout out, “I heard we got a ‘X’ factor!!! Wow ‘WE COMING BABY’ #CoachPrime.” Farrakhan Jr.’s a beast on-field—46 receptions, 809 yards, and 12 TDs in 2023-24. As he gears up for his final high school season at Houston North Shore, everyone’s eager to see what he brings to Boulder.

Coach Prime’s got his sights set high, and with Farrakhan Jr. on board, he might just get there.
