The teams and triumphs of Prime Time
In 1994, Sanders signed a deal to go to the San Francisco 49ers, where he continued to assert his leadership skills and win a Super Bowl, thus proving his value to the team. Coined by him, the phrase “When you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good, you play good” became a defining statement of Sanders’ playing years. Have an interesting take?
For perhaps the most memorable time in his career, he enjoyed as a Cowboys player, where he showed once again that he could alter the game as a defender and a return specialist. “Water covers two-thirds of the earth; I cover the rest,” he once said; it is funny, but considering his prowess on the gridiron, that saying is very much true. After his stint in Dallas, Deion Sanders had a short stint at the Washington Redskins in 2000 when he called it quits. But he resumed playing in the 2004 season with a new team, the Baltimore Ravens, and remained there for two seasons.

Throughout his 14 NFL seasons, Sanders played for a total of five teams, Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, and Baltimore Ravens. He inspired change wherever he played (he also played baseball professionally). He retired in 2009 and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011. This shows that even to this date, he left a mark on football at a personal level and a cultural level. As it would only be appropriate, Sanders once stated: “To be great, you have to believe that you are great, that you are the best” — and that did it. The player made an astoundingly professional NFL career.
Of course, one has to admit that Deion Sanders always believed in himself. In his lengthy career, Deion played for five different NFL teams, and the teams added value to his magnificent career. This warranted him the title ‘Prime Time’ — a legend that football will never let fade away.
