Seabron’s college run at the University of Michigan lasted between 1975 and 1978. He showcased his versatility by playing in as many as 3 positions. Tight end, defensive end, and outside linebacker. Seabron’s pro-football run started in 1979 as the 49ers drafted him in the fifth round. After being released in 1980, he joined the St. Louis Cardinals. But he could only make two appearances there before his release in 1981. However, Seabron built an inspiring legacy that stretched far beyond sports.

Robert Brown, a former University of Michigan student manager, remembered him fondly. “He was a very good player, a great athlete, smart, quick.” While Seabron’s football days were impactful, they were just the beginning of a life dedicated to service, leadership, and leaving behind a legacy far beyond sports.

At Cass Tech, he excelled in football, basketball, and track, setting the stage for his Michigan career. Reverend Nicholas Hood III recalls young Seabron’s dedication: “Tom focused on doing sit-ups on the floor while the other youth looked with fascination.” His work wasn’t limited to finances. Seabron managed a church scholarship endowment, growing it from $50,000 to nearly $1 million. His efforts ensured educational opportunities for countless students, an achievement he humbly downplayed but cherished deeply.
