Kim Kardashian won’t forget this night soon. Kardashian’s appearance at The Roast of Tom Brady, broadcast on Netflix, was marred by cheers that quickly turned into a chorus of boos by the audience.

The audience, according to stand-up comic Nikki Glaser who was present, was ignited by a single heckler. Kim even acknowledged the awkwardness with a simple “Alright, alright” before starting her set.

Now, a month later, Dana White, UFC President, confirms the rumors. In a June 22 interview with Shannon Sharpe for Club Shay Shay, he said, “Even Kim Kardashian and I don’t know what’s true and what’s not true. What is true is they booed the s**t out of her when she went up.” He then described the intense reaction, which even prompted Jeff Ross, the roastmaster, to intervene. 

White explained that the crowd, mostly “football fans in jerseys,” wasn’t exactly Kim’s usual audience. Shannon Sharpe then jokingly added, “Well, she should’ve fit right in….I’m sorry Kim, I couldn’t resist” referencing the past rumors about a relationship between Kim and Tom Brady.

Despite the initial negativity, White commended Netflix for both live-streaming the roast and then “editing out the boos” for the final release. He also praised Kim for her professionalism. “It takes a lot of guts to get up there and do that, and she did it,” he said. Now, both Kim and Tom managed to deliver their roasts despite the booing, proving they can take as well as make a jab or two.

Tom Brady and Kim get raw with bold jokes

The “GROAT” show at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum was turbulent! Despite cheers, laughs, and even boos, Kim Kardashian proved she can be quite “thick-skinned” with a phenomenal opening line: “I wasn’t going to come tonight, but since I’m not here as Tom’s date, there’s still a good chance I might.” She boldly addressed the dating rumors, joking about the similarities between Tom and her step-dad, Caitlyn Jenner. “An ex-athlete, high cheekbones, slinky hair – you remind me too much of my stepdad now. Part of me thinks you would try to undress me, just to try on my clothes,” she said, leaving the stadium in splits. 

Now, Tom Brady didn’t hold back either, playfully jabbing at Kim and even referencing her ex, Kanye West. “I know Kim was terrified to be here tonight. Not because of this but because her kids are at home with their dad” Brady jokingly said. 

Despite the initial awkwardness, both Kim and Tom delivered their roasts with humor, keeping the spirit of the event alive.
