Tom Brady calls out Michael Rubin—Is this the ultimate bromance or just friendly banter?

Product releases, screenings, panels, merch drops, excitement is in the air! Set to take place from August 16 to 18, the first-ever Fanatics Fest NYC just kicked off on Friday at the Javits Center. According to the website, “Fanatics Fest NYC is a once-in-a-lifetime fan event that will bring together fans and collectors across all sports to celebrate their passions under one roof.”

This event is going to be a one-stop hub for fans can get a chance for photo ops and autographs from their athlete idols. 7X Super Bowl hero Tom Brady was one among hundreds of iconic names present at this major event in New York, like Kevin Durant, Mike Tyson, the Manning brothers, and Jay-Z, among others. However, as perfect as the event is going, the NFL GOAT found one problem with his billionaire friend’s fest.

Taking to his Instagram story on Friday, Tom Brady straight up called out Michael Rubin for the discomfort he faced while sharing a small couch with rapper Lil Wayne and streamer IShowSpeed. He captioned the post, tagging Rubin, “You guys couldn’t afford a bigger couch?

Tom Brady’s complaint is valid just by looking at the way the three idols are squeezed together. Lil Wayne and the retired NFL legend appeared to be trying to be as small as they could to fit while IShowSpeed sat in the middle, smiling in oblivion. Still, this didn’t deter Brady from doing what he came for – to talk about his transition from the open field to a booth.

Tom Brady’s future as a sports commentator

Signing a $375 million contract with Fox Sports, Tom Brady is set to be the highest-paid sports commentator. Even before his role kicked off, he’s been preparing himself by reaching out to experts like Tedy Bruschi, Tony Romo, Troy Aikman, and more. As for his commenting style, we’ll only know for sure when he begins his role in the booth but this is what he said, “There’s so many different things that I was able to be part of, I can relate to this current generation of athletes going out there trying to make their dreams come true.”

And who else but his millionaire buddy Michael Rubin, who believes in the GOAT with all his heart? In a conversation on Adam Schefter’s podcast, Rubin described Brady in a nutshell. He said, “He’s first up. He’s always hustling. He’s always grinding. He has that unrelenting will, he’s always going to win at whatever he does.” Tom Brady will soon get his chance to prove his friend’s statement on September 8 where he’ll be calling the plays in the Week 1 game between the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns
