Former NFL punter Pat McAfee credited the WNBA’s growing popularity to Clark, stating, “There’s one white b**ch for the Indiana Team who is a Superstar.” He even called her the league’s “cash cow.” These comments turned what could have been a compliment into a major insult.

To clarify his words, Pat McAfee posted on X: “I shouldn’t have used ‘white b**ch’ as a descriptor of Caitlin Clark. No matter the context… even if we’re talking about race being a reason for some of the stuff happening.” He expressed his respect for her and women in general, adding, “My intentions when saying it were complimentary just like the entire segment.” He acknowledged many people didn’t take it that way and apologized, saying he had also apologized to Caitlin directly.

Despite McAfee’s note, Antonio Brown wasn’t buying it. Brown fired back on his X handle, stating “racist backpedals” with the hashtag “#CTESPN.” It’s another controversial outburst from Brown, but the most surprising thing is his sudden defense of Caitlin Clark.

Shortly after the Pat McAfee Show aired a controversial remark about Caitlin Clark, Antonio Brown took to his X account to share a clip of McAfee’s comment, highlighting the “mischievous words.” AB then posted, “Larry Bird was once called the ‘great white hope.’ Now Caitlin Clark is called the ‘great white b**ch'” and added the remark, “Crackers of the Week.” It seems AB is courting controversy with the “Crackers” hashtag, which he has used for Clark and other notable figures, including President Joe Biden.

While AB criticizes McAfee for his “brutal words,” his actions appear hypocritical. Given the current situation, this is ironic, and the internet community was quick enough to point out the hypocrisy. Interestingly, despite Brown’s jabs, Caitlin Clark boasts a massive $3.1 million NIL valuation. AB has reportedly filed for bankruptcy, owing around $3 million to creditors. It seems actions speak louder than words in this situation.
