Is Antonio Brown's 'Cracker of the Day' comment on Pat McAfee justified or out of line?

Former Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown has yet again made a controversial post on his official X account. This time, he has called Plum-Born internet personality Pat McAfee “Cracker of the Day.” By putting the #CTESPN, he reposted a tweet from Miguel A. Melendez where Pat McAfee can be seen drunk in Dublin, Ireland.

Although McAfee can be seen having a great time chugging beers with his shirt off in a packed bar, Brown might not have the same views. He came back with his “Cracker of the Day” posts, which created a lot of buzz. Morgan Wallen was also one of the recent victims of Antonio Brown’s controversial posts when he tweeted, “We got a lot of common,” by tagging Morgan Wallen after he was charged with throwing a chair off a rooftop bar.

Well, his “Cracker of the Day” comments are just one of the recent examples when it comes to Brown’s social media menace. After he retired from the field, the Steelers legend has kept himself busy with his tirade of controversial posts leading to off-field drama.

Antonio Brown’s history of controversies

Speaking about Antonio Brown’s controversy, the first incident besides his social media posts that comes to mind is Brown running off the field in the middle of the match against the Buccaneers. This was a bizarre incident for many when Brown stripped off his jersey and shoulder pads to run back into his locker room. Although he was swiftly released from the team, after that incident, it only kick-started his run of controversies.

His negative comments yet again surfaced on the internet when the former Steelers receiver called out the Indiana Fever’s basketball star Caitlin Clark a ‘b*tch.’ He proceeded to mock her appearance by comparing her with American actor director Mel Gibson. Multiple fans were upset, with some showing immense displeasure, “He’s going UNDER hell.” Some even mocked his CTE by stating, “CTE kicked in like a two-time world champ.”

However, for the troll, Brown is the seven-time Pro Bowler who even added CTE to his trolling. Nowadays, he uses #CTESPN to troll the ESPN network as a part of his daily dose of controversies. Well, Brown also called former NFL TE Shannon Sharpe gay out of nowhere for a TikTok he posted. Looking back, there is no sense in Brown going after people and calling them names.

But the legendary Steelers receiver who played nine years for them while amassing over 1000 receiving yards in seven of those might have other thoughts in his mind these days. However, it remains to be seen whether Brown will continue his controversial posts that get the internet talking or will move away from doing so. As fans, we can only wait for his next post hitting on the internet to see for ourselves.
