Colin Kaepernick rose to fame as the San Francisco 49ers’ star quarterback. At the height of his career, he made a daring choice and kneeled during the national anthem in protest. This act sparked intense debate and controversy across the nation.

But Kaepernick’s career took a harsh turn after that protest. He left the 49ers in 2016, but no other team offered him a contract. Many believe this was because of his protest, not his skills. However, many fans are still eager to see him return to the field. Recently, internet personality Ian Schwartzman also expressed the same wish to Colin’s girlfriend and host Nessa Diab. They both echoed the feelings of many fans, while Ian also predicted Colin’s future.

In a recent interview, Ian offered a bold prediction about Colin Kaepernick’s future, surprising Kaepernick’s partner, Nessa, who hosted him. “I think Colin will end up being a head coach on a professional team,” Ian said. “Either a professional team or a very big college university. He had way too much knowledge, experience…. he’s so good at what he does,” he added.

Ian explained his prediction, stressing, “He has that outer world experience that no one else has. That puts him in a very good position to take on a leadership role.” Though Ian would love to see Kaepernick coach, he also admitted, “I would also love to see him play.” This likely touched Nessa deeply, as the star quarterback hasn’t played professionally since 2016. Ian also further questioned, “Why hasn’t a single NFL team put him in a jersey, even if he’s not going to play? It would be the biggest ticket sale that the NFL has seen ever.” Indeed, fans would flock to see the quarterback’s return after years of activism and controversy.

Will talent outweigh controversy for Colin Kaepernick?

Colin Kaepernick’s protest sparked a nationwide discussion that went way beyond football. His story was explored in the Netflix series “Colin in Black & White.” He also got his own film, “The Price of Protest.” But those off-field credits didn’t help him land with a franchise. Colin’s talent was undeniable — 12,271 passing yards, 72 touchdowns, and only 30 interceptions. Yet, fear of controversy and media backlash likely scared teams away from signing him. After an entire offseason without a contract, Kaepernick filed a grievance against the NFL.

Many believe Kaepernick’s activism cut his promising career short. If Ian’s prediction comes true, it could shake up the NFL entirely. Not only could Kaepernick make a comeback, but the league might be shifting. Still, the road back is steep. Kaepernick’s been out of the league for years, and teams might argue he’s rusty. So Ian’s prediction, for now, might remain just a dream. It’s probably a high price Kaepernick paid for his protest.
