Hurray for NFL tight ends as they celebrated the National Tight Ends Day on Sunday, October 22. As the nation celebrates, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski also drops a sentimental message for tight ends. Gronk is considered one of the best tight ends in the NFL, securing four Super Bowl championship titles from his 11 seasons in the league.

Many NFL tight end champs took the event and jammed it to the full beat, including Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The 34-year-old showed his emotions in a comment following Rob Gronkowski’s latest Instagram post. And he’s also a star in a music video of this year’s National Tight Ends Day.

Rob Gronkowski entered the NFL when he was 21, while Travis Kelce did at 24. But while they’re both 34 now, Gronk retired two years ago while Kelce is still making on-field and off-field headlines with Taylor Swift. As per their career statistics, Gronk has 20 more touchdowns, while Kelce has a nearly 1,000-yard advantage over Gronk.

NFL Tight Ends celebrate National Tight Ends Day with a music video

The origin of National Tight Ends Day stemmed in 2019 when George Kittle made a joke that changed the history of NFL tight ends. The beloved San Francisco 49ers tight end jokingly proposed that tight ends should have their own holiday. And voila! His wish was granted, and here we are, just celebrating another National Tight Ends Day every fourth Sunday in October.

This year, George Kittle is vibing things up with a tight-end music video captioning the post, “Your favorite player’s favorite holiday… #NationalTightEndsDay is officially back. Let’s get it.

Fellow 49ers teammates Christian McCaffrey, Kyle Juszczyk, Charlie Woerner, and Ross Dwelley appeared in the video. Travis Kelce has appeared in parts with his signature celebration dance moves. They sang, “We move/ We pivot/ We catch, pass and we hit it/ Just cruise/ No gimmicks/We’re the tight ends, let’s get it.

Rob Gronkowski will remain a legend not only in the history of the tight end but the whole of the NFL as one of the greatest players. He is a 4-time Super Bowl champion and a 5-time Pro Bowl selection. And while he’s watching the field off the grid, fans’ eyes are on the other tight end, Travis Kelce, who will be playing against the Denver Broncos in Week 8.
