Tom Brady’s 23-year- career taught him a ton of things. From what it takes to earn 7 Super Bowls to what it takes to get back out of life-threatening injuries, Brady knows it all. So when the five-time MVP says he likes someone’s performance, it is nothing less than an accolade in itself.

The Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen recently garnered the honor of being one of those players. In their appearance on ‘Let’s Go!’, Tom Brady gave his precious words of advice to the budding QB on running the ball from a QB perspective.

When asked about Josh Allen, Brady didn’t shy away from explaining how much he appreciates Allen’s performance. Calling him a ‘great QB’ Brady hardly left any cards unturned in expressing his genuine happiness with the Buffalo’s QB’s performance. So much so that Brady wants to see him play for the next 10-12 years. Yet, the seven-time Super Bowl winner is a tad bit reckless sometimes, a common thing for young players. NFL, being the rough sport it is, does not take much time for a player to get hurt. “My standpoint here is, you’re putting yourself in harm’s way. And when you put yourself in harm’s way, it doesn’t take much for someone to land on you, you know, to set you back,” commented Brady.

Further on, the former Patriots‘ QB went on to explain how his injuries, just to get that one yard in, cost him 8 whole weeks in the season. However, Josh Allen, soaking all in, just had one thing to argue. “I’m not saying that it’s wrong. But you can get wrong in the practice just as much as you can elsewhere,” proposed the Bills’ QB.

Tom Brady’s major career injuries

When you are one of the best players in a robust sport like the NFL has ever seen, injuries become inevitable. However, Brady was the one with calculated moves and, hence, incurred fewer injuries, as compared to dynamic and impulsive players. In the first game of the season 2008 against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Patriots QB got a bad hit from Pollard on his left knee. Apparently, Brady was diagnosed with a season-ending ACL and MCL tear.

Fast Forward to 2021, when Brady still could not let go of his sport, the player was in silent pain. Not only because of his upcoming retirement but also due to his torn MCL. He had to get it restructured. Hence, knowing the impact injuries can have, which the NFL history is also evidence of, Brady likes to be on the cautious side and advises Allen to do so as well.
