Sports celebrities just like the rest of us celebrate little moments of life which may indicate a milestone. Something similar was celebrated by the NFL star JJ Watt as he wished his parents on their special day. Thus, showcasing the immense love and respect he has for them, through a heartfelt Twitter post.

Aside from being a phenomenal energy on the field, JJ Watt has always maintained a close relationship with his family over the years. The Watt family is always present during important events to uphold and support each other. The evidence of this was again provided as former Houston Texans defensive came forth with some sincere words. 

JJ Watt celebrates his parents’ special day in his style

In a post by JJ Watt, John and Connie Watt were out spending their day in the lap of nature. They posed together in a serene location in the woods with a soothing river behind them. The 34-year-old son captioned the post, “Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad! Not a bad way to spend it. Not bad at all.”

Looking at JJ Watt’s tweet even fans couldn’t help but react to it as one of the users said, “Give it up to mom and dad. They make some big and talent babies.” Other fans also pitched in with statements like “Great football breeding genes there… Stay well” and “God bless them! We need to erect a monument at Acrisure. “They gave us TJ.”

John and Carrie Watt are the parents of the talented football brothers JJ Watt, Derek Watt, and TJ Watt. John Watt used to work as a firefighter while Connie Watt is a mixed-media artist, designer, and Vice President of a building operations company. Despite so many big names in the family, the crew takes each other’s side as they act as support systems for one another.

 One instance that depicts the close-knit bond of the family is during JJ Watt’s induction into the Houston Texans’ Ring of Honor. JJ Watt was accompanied by his wife Kealia, son Koa, Derek Watt, and his parents. While TJ Watt couldn’t be there because he was in a game with the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Houston Texans, he congratulated his brother in a pre-recorded video. JJ Watt said, “I’m back with all my family. It feels like home. I just love it.

Football runs in the blood of the Watt family

The Watt brothers are indeed an inspiration for many football fans. JJ Watt is the oldest of the Watt brothers who played for the Texans from 2011-2020 and the Arizona Cardinals from 2021-2022. He broke the NFL record with two seasons with 20+ sacks.

Meanwhile, Derek Watt played for the San Diego Chargers for 16 seasons but as of 2023, he’s a free agent. The youngest brother TJ Watt is still making impressions in the NFL as a linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The NFL world is sad for a legend like JJ Watt to retire, but knowing that he is happy with his choices is a relief. JJ Watt said on his retirement, “100 percent. I’m at peace with it. I’m enjoying it very much.”

Although John and Connie Watt aren’t of athlete descent, they’re always there for JJ Watt and his brothers to support them throughout their NFL journey. And as fans put it, we are grateful that they brought the Watt football brothers to the world to make a difference.
