Tom Brady and Novak Djokovic’s relationship goes back years. From the tennis legend appreciating the NFL GOAT’s longevity to Tom Brady congratulating him on winning the US Open, they have exchanged pleasantries on many occasions. They often post banter with each other through media platforms, giving their fans entertaining content and unbelievable performances on the field.

Tom Brady retired from the NFL more than a year ago. However, he remains in peak shape as he outperformed his younger self in a 40-meter dash for a new ad for sportswear company NoBull. Inspired by Brady’s recent achievement of breaking his 40-yard dash record, Djokovic tried his hand at football.

Djokovic posted an Instagram story showing him throwing a deep pass, which unfortunately his receiver did not catch, captioned, “Inspired by @tombrady. QB is good; will teach WR some things, haha.” To this, Brady had a hilarious three-word message for the player with the most grand slams ever.

Novak Djokovic and Tom Brady’s exchanges over the years

Tom Brady is a great example of a champion in his sport and someone that has had such a great career and longevity,” Djokovic said at an exhibition event in Saudi Arabia. Djokovic has repeatedly mentioned his words of appreciation for Brady. He expressed his desire to emulate the NFL legend’s longevity and be at the top of his game even in his forties. Just like Brady, who played 23 seasons as a pro, Djokovic is also entering the 23rd season of his career, already titles apart from other tennis legends like Roger Federer, who has already retired, and Raphael Nadal, whose appearances have diminished since his recurring injuries.

Djokovic and Brady also share a close bond with another athlete who proves that age is just a number as they seem to get better with it, Cristiano Ronaldo. “2023 was one of the best seasons I’ve had, and why stop while you’re still playing great? So I’ll keep going and take (each) year, one by one, and see how far I go.” He added further after defeating the young icon Carlos Alcaraz and boldly stated that he was still the best.
