One of the best receivers, Antonio Brown, has many stories from his NFL career. He smashed record after record. From his rookie 2010 season till 2018, he had the most receptions in the league. A hot property when he played, Brown was sought by everyone. Even Tom Brady wanted him. An MVP receiver recently told an unknown story about it.
Julian Edelman, who played for the Patriots from 2009 to 2020, sat down with former teammate Michael Bennett during the November 6 episode of Games With Names show. They dived in their memories. And any conversation is incomplete without the mention of the Brady-Belichick dynasty. The drive to succeed ran at an all-time high. Targets were high. Qualifying for the playoffs wasn’t enough. TB12 wanted Super Bowls.
Tom Brady’s career was ending when Antonio Brown arrived there in 2019. But the WR’s stay was short-lived. The GOAT tried his best to convince the receiver to not leave. Edelman surprised everyone by saying, “We would have won the Super Bowl if he had stayed.” Such was the WR’s game-winning ability.
