Does the media's focus on Trump controversies reveal bias or justifiable scrutiny?

Former NFL WR Antonio Brown has been an avid supporter of Donald Trump throughout his campaign trail. From attending his massive rally in his hometown, Pennsylvania, Brown has voiced his growing admiration for Trump in this year’s election. Adding to those acts of support, Brown went to X, his usual place of communication. This time, to call out the American Media for a possible bias against Donald Trump.

Posting on X with #CTESPN, Brown wrote, “The legacy news media is having a collective mental breakdown.” Although most of the time, he is the one having a ‘mental breakdown’ on his X posts. There could be some truth in his latest post, where he tagged a study conducted by the Media Research Center.

It has been found that Major TV News networks like ABC, CBS, and NBC are the most unbalanced in terms of election coverage this year. All of those networks have dedicated 31% of their coverage to Trump controversies. While allocating 5% coverage to his rival Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris, on crucial topics.

Well, this study was conducted after reviewing 600 segments that aired on those networks since July this year. Meanwhile, the coverage is glaringly high compared to Trump’s 2016 and 2020 presidential runs. But that coverage is mostly negative as Trump has been having twice as much airtime since his September debate.

However, the possible bias against Trump isn’t all. Studies show that public trust in media hits record low, with 36% saying “they have no trust at all.” Well, this could be concerning for Trump if this goes on. Because it would surely have an impact on his chances of winning his presidency back after being there from 2016 to 2020. Coming back to Brown’s constant support of Donald Trump, the former Steelers WR finally got a chance to speak on his behalf away from his regular X posts, citing #CTESPN.

Have an interesting take?

Appearing on OutKick hosted by Nick Adams, former Bucs WR spoke about how he has never got the chance to meet Donald Trump. However, his dream finally came true this month. Brown found himself on the podium speaking on behalf of Trump’s rally in his home state. And for the shrewd comedian, he is the former All-Pro, started by mocking Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. He said, “Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, did you really know they want to put tampons in the boys’ bathroom?” He even wanted the crowd to engage. He threw a question towards them, “That’s really insane, right?”

But Brown is nowhere to be contradicted in his statement. As the governor of Minnesota, he earned the nickname “Tampon Tim” after he decided to offer free tampons in public schools. Well, taking into account students from grades 4 to 12, he also got the males into that list. Even going back to July, when an assassination attempt on Trump failed, he posted, “Cue up Many Men by 50, and we gonna win the presidency in a landslide F—— Legend of the Decade.”
