Antonio Brown, the former wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is in the face of controversy yet again with his recent tweet. The 35-year-old is known for his social media antics and is used to receiving heavy criticism. This time, he brought up already-debunked news about the passing of former Mike Williams, which drew a lot of fire from the fans.

Brown was a talented athlete in his time, for sure. But because of his attitude and temperament, his NFL career had to be cut short. Near the end of the 2021 season, he was released from the Buccaneers for stripping off his uniform and running off the field against the New York Jets. Since then, he’s been an active figure on social media, with each tweet being somehow more controversial than the other.

On January 6th, Brown took to Twitter to repost a tweet that was made in September about the critical condition of Mike Williams after an accident. But shortly after, Williams tragically passed away due to the severity of his injuries. Brown’s tweet indicated that the former WR didn’t realize that Williams had passed away and was no longer recovering.

Brown’s tweet said, “This needs our attention 🤯😳” It seems like Brown doesn’t believe that Williams has passed away and the whole news was nothing but a conspiracy theory. While this sure was an ignorant message on his part, it pales in comparison to the tweet he made against Brady this week when a video of him surfaced that saw him complain about selfish teammates.

Tom Brady gets called out by his former teammate Antonio Brown over the topic of stats

Tom Brady, the NFL legend, was once talking about selfish teammates who only chose to play for their numbers rather than the team itself. A fan reposted the video and said, “He was 100% dissing that clown Antonio Brown here and I FUCKING LOVE it!!🔥”

This led to Brown responding to the tweet and frustratingly saying, “Ask anyone is Tom Brady selfish bro want stats too you think he like Payton manning or you think he didn’t play longer then drew Brees to past his stats ok ima let the crackers thinks it’s me when I’m coming off the bench to help his team win 🥇” trying to make it seem like Brady himself was a selfish player on the field. Furthermore, Brown has always been an overconfident player, despite all his failures on the field. He was undoubtedly a talented player, but he put the axe on his own two feet with how he treated the game and eventually witnessed his unfortunate downfall.
