Antonio Brown bashing Taylor Swift—Is he right, or just seeking attention?

Antonio Brown just doesn’t stop with his shenanigans on social media, does he? As the former Steelers WR has continued to draw unnecessary attention for his scathing attacks on NFL players. This time, it was the turn of celebrity couple Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. After a dismal start to the season, many people have questioned the lack of output from the Chiefs TE.

Although he finished with seven catches for 89 yards in this week’s win over the Chargers. Brown was not satisfied with the three-time Super Bowl Champion, as he tweeted, “Travis Kelce needs some black p—-. That bro washed.” Well, this comment didn’t go down the right way for Swifties out there. As many of them questioned Brown’s mentality, “He seems to need attention,” while another one added, “He’s a pathetic loser. She’s not even bothered by what he says.”

Well, after controversy boiled over his racist attack towards Taylor Swift, Brown seemingly took pride as he tagged a news article and wrote, “N—- of the Day #CTESPN” However, this is not the first time Brown has targeted Swift. Back in March, he shared an AI-generated video where he was kissing Taylor, who had a cheerleader outfit on herself. He even went after the Swifties, the so-called Swift supporters, after posting a photo of Tom Brady’s ex-wife, Gisele Bundchen, “Move over Jizelle, what these Swifties talking bout?”

Travis Kelce’s partner isn’t the only person Brown has targeted from the Chiefs kingdom. As he spoke about Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, when she was hugging Swift, “White People for Trump.” However, after that, the Blank Space singer ended up endorsing Kamala Harris in this year’s American election, “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election.”

Brown’s latest tweet may have stemmed from Swift’s continued absence at Chiefs games for the past two weeks. Even Kelce found himself criticized for his burgeoning relationship with Taylor, which may have taken a toll on his performances on the pitch.

Although Travis Kelce has continued to rediscover his Pro Bowler form this season, the Chiefs have managed to make it 4 out of 4. But this didn’t stop Kelce from getting criticized about his relationship with Swift, as former ESPN analyst Todd McShay added, “Every show I watch, every pregame show, halftime show, postgame show, weekday show, every broadcast I watch for the last few weeks, it’s like, are we not allowed to say he’s out of shape? That he’s been partying all offseason.”

However, Kelce has since opened up about the changes in the Chiefs game plan this season on his New Heights Podcast, “I’m not getting caught up in getting the targets and all that. I just want to have a successful offense, and I think Pat’s doing a great job of finding the open guy and making the right decisions right now. And we just have to keep finding.” Well, he is right. As Mahomes go-to man this season turned out to be Rashee Rice after he racked up 24 receptions on 288 yards while adding 2 TDs.

But since the Chargers game this week, Rice got injured in his knee with fears surrounding him potentially sidelined for the season. This makes us question whether Kelce will be able to get his game going after four weeks of NFL action. Or will the Chiefs TE continue to struggle as the Chiefs enter week 5, hoping to continue their winning start to this season?
