Antonio Brown has a ton of controversies to address, a tangled mess that he has been working on solving part by part. Only days ago, AB made an appearance at his son, AB Jr’s, UCF v Texas Tech basketball clash. It was a news that put a smile on critics’ faces, given Brown’s recent past of dishing out controversial comments. Well, his recent message to his former friend-turned-foe was also similar, putting a smile on not only Ben Roethlisberger’s face but also the fans.

The free-agent wide receiver took to Instagram on Tuesday to reveal unknown facts about his former friend/enemy. “I love Ben. I was probably so hurt at that time I just blocked his number. Me and Ben made some of the greatest football history moments of my life, my kids grew up seeing it. It sparked some of the greatness in my life,” Brown wrote in his post dedicated to ‘Big Ben’.

Moreover, before the dedicated post to smooth out the creases on his and Roethlisberger’s friendship, Brown also made a heartfelt apology to the Steelers during an appearance on 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh. “I apologize to those guys for the distractions, the unwanted attention that I probably caused those guys, to the organization. I’m forever grateful and indebted to this organization,” Brown said.

After all, Antonio Brown had a companionship of nine seasons with the Steelers and Roethlisberger. More importantly, it was the first nine seasons of Brown’s NFL career where he had Ben Roethlisberger before Brown was traded to the Oakland Raiders. After the trade, the receiver spoke about his problems with the QB.

The real tussle between the two started when the Steelers QB expressed his regret over a missed route during a 2018 game with Brown as his receiver. In August 2018, Roethlisberger became vocal about his regret, saying that it “ruined the friendship” between the two since then. Antonio Brown, taking to his go-to sanctuary for his snarky retorts, tweeted, “Never friends just had to get my ends…….shut up already,” as a reply to the QB’s remark.

It did not end there from Brown’s end. Shortly after this, Brown appeared on HBO’s The Shop and expressed his thoughts about Roethlisberger. “Feels like he’s the owner,” Brown commented. Yet, before their friendship was ruined, the duo was unstoppable on the field for the Steelers. During their years as one of the most feared QB-receiver duo.

During his nine seasons with the Steelers, Brown registered 837 receptions for 11,207 yards and 74 touchdowns, whereas ‘Big Ben’ piled up 64,088 passing yards and 418 touchdowns and retired with an impressive 93.5 passer rating during his 18-season career with the Steelers.
