Antonio Brown backing Trump—Is this a touchdown or a fumble for his public image?

As November approaches, the Political dynamics in the United States are starting to take shape. People from all parts of society are vocal on social media about their choices, committing their support to their candidate in the upcoming Presidential elections. The NFL world isn’t connected to this either. NFL legend Antonio Brown has also publicly committed to support Trump.

Brown shared a post on X (formally known as Twitter). In the caption, he mentioned supporting and helping Trump to win this election against Kamala Harris and his other opponents. The former Steelers’ WR wrote, “Not only moving, but AB is also gonna help Trump win the election”.

This isn’t the first time that the 7x Pro Bowl star publicly sided with the former US President. He has been very vocal about his support for Trump. Recently he joined the voter registration effort in Pennsylvania. He shared a post on his X (formally known as Twitter) dedicated to all the non-voters or those who are on the fence about voting, asking them to “show up next week to the tailgate before the Steelers game”. Brown urged them to register to vote in exchange for a picture with him.

That’s not all. Back in May, during his interview with OutKick’s Nick Adams, Brown praised Trump for his contribution to the Hip Hop industry and labeled him as a “good businessman and a good president”.  Back then he said, “I’ve never met him. I’ve got admiration for his business moves and I study his dad, Fred Trump….. I think he (Donald Trump) does some great things for my brothers in the music industry in regards to Lil Wayne, Kodak [Black].”

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker has publicly pleaded his support to Donald Trump amid the upcoming US Presidential elections in November. The NFL star attended a rally in Parkville which was organised by Missouri senator Josh Hawley.

The senator and the NFL star both appeared on Fox News, where they discussed their stance on Pro-life. While reasoning his support for Trump, Butker mentioned that he supports the ex-president because of his focus on Pro-life issues. He said, “Well, I’m supporting, the president that’s going to be the most pro-life president … The most crucial topic for me, I want us to be fighting for the most vulnerable, fighting for the unborn, and that’s what we should prioritize, that’s obviously what Senator Hawley is doing as a man of faith”.

The 29-year-old further urged the public that the best thing for America would be to “vote for whoever is going to be the most pro-life” and be prayerful men, keeping God first.

Butker’s endorsing Trump comes just a couple of months after he opposed the former president after he wrote that his administration, if elected, would “be great for women and their reproductive rights”. Aiming at Trumps, the Chiefs’ kicker said that “no party or candidate is perfect”. He also urged Trump’s Vice President nominee JD Vance to step forward and help the Republican party get back in line. Butker further added that the Party’s foundation should be built on valuing all life and that “there can be no compromise when it comes to defending the unborn.”
