The GOAT posted a video on his Instagram story with highlights of the WNBA star scoring a basket. Endorsing another award for her, he tagged Wilson and wrote, “MVP” and “If you’re not watching, you’re missing out.” While she is breaking league records one after another in the current season, her recent performance makes a strong case for another MVP award. During the game against the Wings on the 27th of August, she topped the scoring chart with 42 points. Impressive! This is the second time Brady has given his seal of approval for her talent.

Acknowledging her dominance in the WNBA, Time Magazine gave her a spot in TIME100: The Most Influential People of 2024. Tom Brady wrote an essay on the 2024 Olympics gold medallist, which read, “A’ja Wilson is not just an incredible athlete, she is also an inspiration to all who witness her talent and drive. Her journey is a testament to the power of passion and fearlessness in achieving greatness.” WNBA has become huge in recent years with women athletes inspiring more and more women to play sports. The 2024 Paris Olympics made a unique record. It was the first Olympics where men and women athletes had an equal number of competition spots. Tom Brady also went to Paris with his daughter, Vivian, whom he fondly calls Vivi. The father-daughter duo watched many games, including women’s diving, beach volleyball, and individual women’s gymnastics finals. On the sidelines, they also met and took photos with various women athletes. The GOAT is passing family values to the next generation.

While growing up, he saw his elder sisters play football and went to cheer them up. Many women in his family later became sports players. His niece, Maya Brady, plays softball for UCLA. She also won a silver medal for the USA in the 2024 Women’s Softball World Cup. It wouldn’t be surprising if Vivi also grew up to be an athlete like her father. That would be worth watching!
