Tom Brady’s life has been a roller coaster since he retired from the league. He joined FOX Sports as a commentator and will also be joining the Las Vegas Raiders as their minority owner. In his short time as a broadcaster, the NFL gave him yet another opportunity to Brady to re-live his glory days. Yes, we’re talking about the Green Bay Packers vs Detroit Lions game.
The Patriots legend witnessed the Lions beat the Packers 24-14 and it reminded him of the time when his Tampa Bay Buccaneers visited the Lambeau Field to play the NFC Championship game in the 2020 season. Something special happened that day and Brady got a bit emotional describing it in his latest vlog on YouTube.
The 15x Pro Bowler mentioned how visiting the Lambeau feels like Vince Lombardi himself is looking down upon you. For him, the Wisconsin venue is so iconic that he dubbed it the “Vatican” of football. The vlog came after the Packers-Lions game, but Brady’s companion made sure he got the former QBs reaction to stepping into the game a week before.

“It’s [Lambeau] kind of like the Vatican of football. You feel like Vince Lombardi is actually there looking down on you,” Brady said on his self-titled vlog. The former NFL QB then talked about the NFC Championship game that he played about three years ago when the Bucs won 31-26 against the Packers.
“Probably my greatest football memory, having Jack in the stands after the Bucs-Green Bay victory when he came down and gave me a hug. That was probably one of the greatest days of my life. So, I’m very excited to go back to the Lambeau Field,” Brady added later.
That was the game where the two most iconic QBs in the game went against each other—Tom Brady vs Aaron Rodgers—at Lambeau. One doesn’t need to be there to imagine the energy in the atmosphere. Brady had a 3-touchdown game and threw for 280 yards. Aaron Rodgers on the other hand threw for 346 yards and three touchdowns.
The Tampa Bay team won and went to play the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs that season. No doubt they won 31-9 against KC. Sadly those days are in the rear-view mirror. But Brady still has exciting things to look forward to. For example, the next game he’s announcing.

Can Tom Brady's commentary bring the same magic to the Buccaneers vs. 49ers game as his playing days?

What game is Tom Brady announcing next?
The 7x Super Bowl winner will be calling the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San Francisco 49ers game on Sunday. It should be fun watching Brady’s take on his former team going against the Super Bowl runner-ups. The game itself should be fun to watch because Tampa Bay’s roster is just as banged up as the San Francisco 49ers. How will either team fulfill this tall order?
Jordan Mason, Deebo Samuel, Jauan Jennings, Nick Bosa are all listed as questionable for now. The Niners’ troubles run much deeper as Brandon Aiyuk and Christian McCaffrey are also on Injured Reserve. But things were even worse for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While Baker Mayfield is listed as questionable to play, his favorite target Mike Evans is listed out.

On top of that, Buck Irving, Sterling Shepard, Chris Godwin, Jalen McMillan, Vita Vea etc. are also some names that the Bucs aren’t certain about. The 49ers are 4-4 right now and Tampa Bay is doing slightly worse with 4-5. Will Brady witness his former Super Bowl winning team triumph? We’ll find that out on Sunday.
