On 20 October, a user named Billy Oppenheimer took to X and shared an inspirational story about the former QB for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In his message, he told a story about how Brady was unhappy during his second year at Michigan Wolverines. He further talked about how Brady would complain to his coach about receiving fewer reps as compared to the other QBs.
The coach at the time told Brady to meet up with Greg Harden, a sports psychologist who worked in Michigan’s athletic department. Harden gave Brady some valuable advice that stuck with him all the way to his levels of glory. He said, “Just go out there and focus on doing the best you can with those 2 reps. Make them as perfect as you possibly can.” Thus, the story gave the fans an idea of how patient Brady had to be before he could be known as the greatest of all time. Oppenheimer also gave a motivational story about what Mark Cuban had to say about achieving success through patience.

This genius mindset exists in all great achievers. Not just Brady, even billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban had similar words of wisdom for everyone who aspires to achieve greatness.

Mark Cuban is one of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs. But he’s never been the sort of person to tell his followers that they should quit their jobs to be an entrepreneur like him. Cuban is the owner of the basketball team Dallas Mavericks and has a combined net worth of over $2.3 billion. Yet even with all his wealth, he’s a humble man who thinks people should first try to be the best at their workplace and wait for opportunities to come knocking on their doors.
He said, “The reality of life is that you can’t just always quit your job. You can’t just always go to your boss and say, ‘Give me the promotion, or I’m out of here.’” You can’t just always go to your coach and say, ‘Give me more reps, or I’m transferring.'” Thus, this piece of advice has been valuable to Brady himself as he’s stated this himself several times. He has never wanted to be the best player in the world, he has wanted to be the best player he could be, and that worked wonders for him. There’s a reason why Brady has no competition even close to him and it’s all because he chose to be the best version of himself.
