Whatever he does, Tom Brady makes history. In May 2022, he signed a 10-year $375 million deal with Fox Sports, becoming the highest-paid commentator ever. In his new role, then GOAT has been receiving mixed reviews. While fans have called him ‘too quiet‘ and uncomfortable in his ‘commentator‘ avatar, many fellow analysts claim that he would improve. Former NFL player Julian Edelman is one of those.
During his recent appearance on the GoJo and Golic podcast, Edelman claimed that Brady liked the role, “He’s liking it. I mean, we’ve talked here and there. I went over to the house before week 1. He kind of just showed up, kind of bugging him, and I saw how he was preparing. I mean, he’s treating it kind of like how he treated football.” If that’s the case, then we can expect greatness. Everyone knows how Brady took off once he found his form in the NFL. Looks like TB12’s working on Shaquille O’Neil’s mantra.
How does @Edelman11 think Tom Brady is liking his time in the booth thus far?

The former NBA great claimed on The Big Podcast with Shaq that Brady is testing the waters in his first year and would get better in his second and third years. On a lighter note, he said, “My advice to Tom Brady is he has G19 classification. G19, yes. Talk about your experience. Tell stories. Be yourself. It’s not that he was quiet. He was professional. He was like… ’cause when you first come in, you don’t know when it’s your turn’.” That’s right. Brady does have several stories from 7 Super Bowl wins, which would amaze the fans.
O’Neil and Brady have similar career trajectories. Both took the commentator route after retiring from their sports. Hence, the NBA great’s advice might come in handy for his NFL counterpart. As the weeks pass by, fans could get to know more about him. After all, the man is magical.
And let’s not deny, Edelman’s, and O’Neil’s words are coming true. Though the GOAT had a shaky start in his debut, fans like his delivery in recent outings.

The GOAT didn’t pay much attention to his critics in the first week while admitting that he was a rookie in the broadcasting world. But with years of experience in the NFL, he has managed to deal with that. And fans appreciated his assertive attitude in his 2nd broadcast, the week 2 game between the Cowboys and the Saints.
NFL posted a video from the game on their official X handle in which Brady was describing Luke Schoonmaker‘s one-handed catch. An excited fan with high hopes of improvement, wrote, “TB12 gonna get better, let him cook.” Another fan was amazed at his analysis and commented, “The GOAT breaking it down🔥”

Many analysts are feeling the wave of change in the GOAT’s style. Being a veteran for more than 23 seasons, Brady’s technical analysis has been garnering attention. And the fans also love it. The Athletic’s Dianna Russini opined about TB12, “He is really likable and will be great by the time Halloween arrives.”
With calls for progress from all sections of the NFL world, it wouldn’t take much time for Tom Brady to take over the world of commentators. He is used to doing wonders all his life, anyways.
