Tom Brady had an illustrious playing career setting an unmatched record in his 23 seasons in the NFL. Now that he’s truly retired, he joined Fox as his new career choice, although he admitted it would be challenging because it’s something out of the box. But the 10-year, $375 million contract with one of the sports leading media outlets is a deal too good to pass. Even if it means ushering someone out of their position.

After replacing Troy Aikman as Fox’s top analyst in 2022, Greg Olsen entertained the spectators with his engaging commenting style, for which he earned multiple awards and a huge fanbase. But even as Brady came in to take his spot, he was all good as he said, “I get it, he’s Tom Brady. He’s someone I’ve respected for damn 20 years.” But Olsen still has a way to get back at his idol, who stole his position.

Although booted as Fox’s No. 1 NFL analyst with Brady’s arrival, Greg Olsen still holds a respect for the NFL GOAT who is replacing his role. He recently revealed that the 7X SB champion sought advice on what to expect ahead of his Fox debut. Olsen didn’t sugarcoat it as he said, “Every guy has their own journey in sports broadcasting. I think everyone thinks it’s easy.” In a recent X upload by Front Office Sports Today, Greg Olsen said in a video, My aspirations are still to be a number one analyst, whether it’s at Fox or elsewhere.

Olsen knows his worth and isn’t prepared to settle for anything less. He recently won a Sports Emmy Award for top Event Analyst for the 2023 season. The 39-year-old sportscaster and former NFL TE said, I’m not just happy to have a seat, I want the top seat. I want that wherever that opportunity allows and I’ll never stop working for that.” Talented and witty as Olsen is, it won’t be long until he finds a job befitting his capabilities. As for Tom Brady, his broadcasting career is just getting started.

“Having the Cowboys on is a huge draw as America’s team that’s going to get a little hard for me to say that all the time understand they were the competition for a long time. But in this new role, I know the Cowboys, how important they are to this network, they got great storylines. Come on! Dak Prescott, let’s see if he can finally come through one of the great defensive players…Michael Parsons, what a great player he is, and Coach McCarthy. So I love covering them. I’ve been obviously going against them for a long time and now I get to tell everyone how great they are!,” he mentioned.

Having said that, do you think Brady pull off this broadcasting stint like a pro over Emmy Award winning Greg Olsen? We’ll soon find out.
