Tom Brady as a leadership guru—Is he the right person to guide the next generation?

Have you ever wondered what NFL legend Tom Brady’s post-retirement plans would be? Test-driving every profession he can probably think of might be a suitable answer. Brady’s talents just keep on coming. TB12 announced he was venturing into vlogging during the first week of August. While fans were all set to dive in to get an intimate look into his post-NFL life, here the GOAT whips up a new career plan. This time, Brady is aiming for academic MVP. He has tried his hands in writing an article for the Harvard Business School titled “The Art of Leading Teammates.” Is it his way to engage with people from different career paths?

Besides playing in the NFL, Brady has tried starting his own brand, TB12, owning shares in Championship club Birmingham City (albeit a part of it), and joining as the FOX Sports lead commentator. It’s time for him to dabble in penning wisdom for Harvard. On August 14, he shared the big break on Instagram. As posted in the video, Brady started with, “I am retired from football but I spend lots of time thinking about this incredible sport and the physical and mental side, they are super important. But as my career progressed I really became interested in the emotional side of the game.”

The seven-time Super Bowl champion’s 23-season-long stint has been enough to woo the former dean of Harvard Business School, Nitin Nohria. And what’s the mission of the write-up? “We identify 7 key behaviors that great team leaders practice,” highlighted Brady. FYI, it’s not a game plan reserved just for the gridiron gang.

Forget football; the GOAT is aiming to share his wisdom with everyone. Brady stressed the fact, “No matter who you are- the captain of a high school football team, a little coach, a military leader, a manager of a business I hope these behaviors can help them and you and the people around you do their jobs a little bit better.” But what about his fresh pursuit in the world of vlogging mastery?

Brady takes on vlogging

The soon-to-be Hall of Famer has landed a new craze. Now that vlogging has become popular with this generation, Brady, too, now wants to try his luck in video creation and connect with his fans at the same time. That being said, he announced his latest venture; this time, it’s his adventure to create a digital brand. Currently, the TB12 wants to start with a YouTube vlog series titled “Last Week With Tom.”

And how could Brady just reveal his new project without the essential GOAT touch? On August 13, the TB12 posted a short teaser video on his IG with the caption, “Staying busy.” He is spotted traveling to Las Vegas accompanied by his 16-year-old son Jack. Brady wasted no time in sharing the purpose behind his YouTube channel, “All these cool things that I get a chance to do and I get a chance to experience, it’s hard to show you guys those things…That’s why we’re doing some of this longer stuff, and I’m going to bring you guys along with me. And I hope you guys really enjoy it.”

As Brady dedicated himself to reaching out to his fans on a deeper level, he had already left for the Paris Olympics. There, too, he refused to limit himself to one event. Instead, he attended six different venues that hosted an array of events, such as beach volleyball, tennis matches, diving, and equestrian competitions. Get ready for a treasure trove of content!
