Did Tom Brady go too far by rubbing salt into Caitlin Clark's wound after her MVP loss?

“But there’s only one.” Those words from the GOAT ring true as the Aces’ A’ja Wilson steals the show once again. While Tom Brady showered praises on the WNBA champ, Caitlin Clark‘s left reeling from a major snub.

Wilson just snagged the MVP title—unanimously! The team shared a post on Instagram: “A’ja Wilson is the 2024 WNBA most valuable player.” Brady couldn’t resist missing the fun, resharing the post on his IG story, captioning “UNANIMOUS” and tagging the queen.

It was Wednesday night. Records shattered as Wilson lit up the court—941 points over 35 games. That’s right—she’s now the highest scorer in a single season! The basketball world went wild, with players from left and right lining up to congratulate her on this achievement.

The Aces’ stakeholder and seven-time Super Bowl Champ Tom Brady also shared a post on X, expressing his admiration for the three-time WNBA MVP. “There are so many incredible players in the @WNBA right now. But there’s only one @_ajawilson22.” It’s clear Brady’s a literal fan.

Wilson’s putting up some real good stats. She averaged 27.3 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game. Wilson leads the league in both points and blocks. With the Aces already locked into the playoffs, they’re gunning for their third consecutive WNBA championship. Third consecutive championship. Ring any bells?

While Wilson basks in the glory, the shadow of Caitlin Clark looms large. The Iowa star entered the season with MVP hopes but ended up with a harsh dose of reality. As we shift focus to Wilson’s triumph, one thing’s clear: Clark must be feeling the heat.
