Jim Harbaugh started his football career in Michigan, where he was termed a ‘slick passer’ in his early years, in 1982 and 1983. He accumulated 5,449 passing yards and 31 touchdowns throughout his collegiate career. “Failing at Michigan was as likely as succeeding. And supernatural aid was not a given,” Young says, talking about how Michigan did not have a large budget at its disposal but was still expected to perform. Despite early setbacks, such as a disappointing 5-7 season in his first year, his constant claims of redemption against arch-rivals Ohio State continue to reverberate in the Wolverines fans’ memories.

Harbaugh’s challenges with the Chargers
Upon his arrival in 2015, after 29 years of being away from the team, Jim Harbaugh revitalized the team. There was an immediate winning response with their wins reaching in double digits. Under his teaching, the Wolverines became a regular contender in the post-season bowl games. The Wolverines consistently earned berths in prestigious bowl matchups, showcasing their competitiveness on a national stage.
The Chargers are roughly $19 million over the cap, with an NFL-mandated deadline of March 13 to get under the record-high figure of $255.4 million for next season. This means the franchise can face many casualties in players like Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. However, they can also try to offer Allen an extension and trade of Williams for a much more viable prospect. They have already released legend Eric Kendricks gaining a significant $6.5 million in terms of cap.
