Does the greatest duo in the NFL share a bitter relationship? Matthew Hamachek disproves the theory with a strong response. The New England Patriots is the only team in history to win over 6 Super Bowls and it is all thanks to the partnership of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. But the recent docuseries claims to hint at a tarnished equation between the two legends and after a long time, these rumors have been squashed by the director.

During his two-decade run with the Pats, Bill Belichick witnessed the most glory while Brady was with the team for 20 seasons. As such, both of their careers were spent majorly with each other and went on to become the greatest coach-player relationship that the NFL ever saw. In light of the Patriots’ recent docuseries, the fans were quick to point out how it seemed like the director painted Belichick in a negative light and portrayed a strained bond between the two. Now, in a drastic turn of events, Matthew Hamachek has openly called out the conspiracy theory and demolished those beliefs in its entirety.

On the latest episode of the ‘Rich Eisen’ show, Matthew Hamachek, the director of the series ‘The Dynasty: New England Patriots‘, joined on as a guest to talk about his project that’s been stirring up all kinds of waves in the NFL world. Several claims were made by the fans that said that the docuseries was villainizing Coach Belichick but in a recent statement Hamachek has boldly come out and refuted them all.

He was asked whether he believed these claims were true and responded, “This is a love letter to Bill. Tom Brady’s up there saying you know, I would not be the player I am without coach Belichick and I was speaking to another person of the coaching staff very recently and they said, ‘Look there is no greater thing you can hear from a player about you as a coach than when somebody like Tom Brady says something like that’.” Thus, while the media likes to stir up controversies around the relationship between Brady and Belichick, it is evident that there’s been nothing but love within their dynamic, which eventually strengthened as they dominated the world of football together.

Moreover, Matthew Hamachek went on to comment about Belichick’s harshness towards Brady and took the coach’s side for his non-display of appreciation for the QB during their SB path to victory.

Bill Belichick receives Hamachek’s full support for Brady’s brutal treatment

There is no doubt about the fact that Bill Belichick was a harsh coach. He believed that there wasn’t a single player who was above the team, even if it was Brady on the other end of the table. As such, he wasn’t known to be a loving figure who would baby the quarterback despite their epitome of success together. While the fans voiced their dissatisfaction with Belichick’s methods, director Hamachek refused to misalign with the veteran coach.

Hamcheck voiced his support for Belichick and said, “You know what if Bill just put his arm around Tom and said you know you’re the greatest of all time…I love you…blah blah blah blah blah and all this kind of stuff? I’m in Bill Belichick’s shoes…like why would I do that? Why would I change this thing that worked really really well? And what if he had changed it too early, and they hadn’t won the six Super Bowls because of that? It might not always be pretty but there is a reason why they got there over and over and over again.” Thus as the world of the NFL remembers the greatest duo in history with the docuseries, it is important to remember that their glory came with their share of blood, sweat, and tears.
