Travis Kelce might have successfully sculpted a ‘lovey-dovey’ image of him throughout the season. However, a single move proved to be the only scar needed to tarnish it. That move was Kelce reportedly ‘attacking’ his head coach Andy Reid on-field. The after-effects emerging from this are many, with people taking his side as he might have done it ‘in ‘the heat of the moment’. Some analysts advocated for Kelce, like Luke Kuechly ‘loved Kelce’s energy’. While most of the others condemned his action as an ‘Undisputed’ guest, Michael Irvin advised Kelce to ‘keep his heat in check’.

Well, the host of Undisputed, Skip Bayless, could not agree more with his guest, Irvin, as he joined forces with all the other analysts who berated Kelce’s actions. ” It galls me that he got away with it,” a baffled Bayless admitted. Moreover, Bayless did not give second thoughts about calling out the brash and disrespectful actions on Kelce, as he went on to say, ” It was such an ugly episode in what was such a great day and game. Andy was an innocent bystander. He’s tryna look at his call sheet and got blindsided and nearly lost his balance because he wasn’t expecting it. I thought it displayed a sense of empowerment and entitlement in Travis Kelce.”

It was halftime and last year’s Super Bowl champions Chiefs were just 3 points in the game. This was followed by not one, but two fumbles. This crossed Andy Reid’s patience bar as he decided to opt Travis Kelce out. Kelce is used to being a star on screen with all the attention and records he has been garnering, especially this season. Hence, when a call was made against him, ” Travis Kelce just lost it,” per Skip Bayless. He barged right into Coach Andy Reid, almost making him fall, and screamed in his face, while Reid maintained his composure and avoided any communication or eye contact with the furious Kelce. Later, Andy Ried settled the issue with his peaceful response.

Andy Reid’s statement on Travis Kelce

While Travis Kelce’s statement made no attempts at apologizing, head coach Andy Reid did not take the issue as seriously as everyone else did. He rather shook it off like it was just a normal day at practice.

When talking to ABC, Reid said, “He caught me off balance. I wasn’t watching. He was really coming over and saying, ‘Just put me in, I’ll score. I’ll score’. So, that’s really what it was. I love that.” Well, looking at Reid’s statement, seems that his head coach has forgiven Kelce, but fans aren’t anywhere near forgiving Kelce for his act.
