The Mahomes-Tucker beef continues to snowball as one of the more important highlights of the game between the Chiefs and the Ravens. What was supposed to be a friendly warm-up for both teams ended up escalating to a personal level when Justin Tucker supposedly did not move out of Mahomes’ way.
The Chiefs channeled all their pent-up anger from the pre-game hassle with Tucker and took it all out in the game. They were crowned as the champions of the AFC West division after vanquishing the Ravens by a score of 17-10. But the incident between Mahomes and Tucker continued to take precedence over the win and eventually became the topic of discussion at the Pat McAfee show.

On the latest episode of the ‘Pat McAfee’ show, the TE for the Chiefs, Travis Kelce appeared on the show as a guest to talk about the game against the Ravens. While a conversation was still going on, Patrick Mahomes, the franchise quarterback, popped in out of nowhere, which led to McAfee taking a direct shot at him in a hysterical manner.

McAfee said, “Hey, Justin Tucker was gonna beat your ass dude. You know that. ” This statement led to a lot of laughs from everyone on the show, including Mahomes and Kelce themselves. Later, McAfee showed nothing but love for the dynamic duo by complimenting their relationship with each other. He said, “You guys’ relationship is sweet too. You and Patrick. An absolute beautiful thing.” With all that said, here’s a look at what Tucker himself had to say about the incident.
Justin Tucker’s comments about the heated interaction with the Chiefs
The heated exchange is all anyone can talk about now, with fans seeming to be interested in knowing both sides of the story. While initially Kelce was met with a lot of hate for throwing Tucker’s helmet away, he was later thoroughly supported by the fans after he elaborated on the incident on his podcast, ‘New Heights.’
Kelce was heard saying, “If you want to be a f*****g d**k about it, you keep your helmet and your football and your f*****g kicking tee right where the quarterbacks are warming up and they’re dropping. Eyes are looking left and they got a helmet down by their feet. So Justin, sorry if we took it to a level that you didn’t think it would get to. But if you’re gonna be a d***k, I promise you. I can one-up you every time.”

But when it came to Tucker’s side of the coin, he seemed to have a different yet diplomatic take on the situation. He said, “For those that don’t know, the way it works is each team’s kicker goes to the other team’s designated warmup area on the field. “For me, it’s usually 90 mins before kickoff. I’ve been doing the exact same thing for 12 years, never really had a problem with anybody.”
Thus, with these back-and-forth exchanges still going on, it will be interesting to see how the Chiefs fare off against the Ravens next season. As of now, the Chiefs care about nothing except winning the Super Bowl trophy against the 49ers.
