The name of Caleb Williams has emerged as the center of attention now that the NFL Draft heads near. Along with this, Williams’s name is often taken in association with the legendary quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, for his electrifying style of play.
Ultimately, Williams has broken the silence about his take on this comparison in the latest episode of the show, “The Herd with Colin Cowherd”. During this interview, Williams also expressed a wish, which is to have a chance to meet Mahomes.

The comparison between Mahomes and Williams has been doing rounds for quite a long time now. And it was in conversation with Cowherd that Williams revealed his insights about this most-talked-about comparison game. However, the quarterback sees it from a respectful stance, “I’ve said this multiple times I just think of it as respect everybody gets crazy when you know I say that I you know there’s things that he does physically.”
As the conversation delved deeper, in a confident confession, the No. 1 NFL prospect stated, “Obviously I’m not Patrick Mahomes and I’m not in his brain but things that he does physically that I you I don’t think that I can’t do.” In an attempt to acknowledge Mahomes’ prowess, Williams expressed a belief in his own abilities that will give rise to an opportunity, “Hopefully soon I’ll be able to see him.” But in the meanwhile, he shared an unknown fact about himself.
Williams’ surprising preference for the game

Besides his exalting confidence in his own abilities, Williams came up with an unknown fact about him that left the fans startled. Despite showcasing his skill to make electrifying plays, the quarterback expressed his preference: “I don’t like running. I don’t like running unless I have to. I do not like running. It may look like it, but I don’t like running.”

Even though he excels as a dual-threat quarterback, he aims to maximize his offensive potential. He further stated, “I like throwing the ball to my receivers, letting all us us have fun. It’s a lot more fun to be able to throw a 20-yard dagger route to my X-receiver and let them eat up down the middle of the field.”

Interestingly, Mahomes, too, is considered to be a slow runner but a two-time league MVP but as revealed by him, it is his unorthodox running style. Even though Williams tries his best to stay away from direct comparisons if the legend, one or the other grounds appear where the quarterback’s name is taken side-by-side with Mahomes.
