Picture this: cousins playing against each other on the field or two brothers playing side-by-side for a team. Well, there are plenty of names that can pop up in our minds, right? JJ Watt and Kealia Watt are what we call the definition of a power couple in the sports world. While we all are familiar with the DE’s phenomenal career, let’s take a second to talk about Kealia, who’s carved out her own impressive path in sports. Formerly Kealia Ohai, her impeccable career goes like this; a standout player for the North Carolina Tar Heels in college, made waves with the Houston Dash in NWSL before eventually joining the Chicago Red Stars.

Seems like Houston is a second home to the coupleNow you might be wondering, Okay, but what makes Kealia tick outside of soccer? Well, for starters, her bond with JJ is at the heart of everything. After four years of being together, the couple chose a pretty sweet way to celebrate love. JJ and Kealia finally made it official and tied the knot over Valentine’s Day weekend in 2020.

Talking about those four years of dating? Well, that’s nothing short of a collection of pretty anecdotes. From Watt appearing in Kealia’s jersey number to a press conference to Kealia taking a 12-hour flight to celebrate her now husband’s birthday. Sure, they’ve got a pretty solid track record.

For the time being, the couple has announced retirement from their professional career. And considering her social media, there’s no wonder the former DE and the soccer alum are enjoying retirement, whether it is cheering for football games or traveling on vacations.

How many children do JJ Watt and Kealia have?

What’s your perspective on:

Is the Watt family the most athletic dynasty in sports, or is there a better contender?

Have an interesting take?

On February 15, 2020, JJ and Kealia got married at The Ocean Club in the Bahamas. “The best day of my life,” Watt captioned on his Instagram post. Well, all the wedding gifts and celebrations were getting side-eyes. But from whom? It was none other than the countrywide lockdown. “Obviously, having a nationwide quarantine right after your wedding isn’t exactly how you planned the honeymoon phase,” JJ stated to the PEOPLE.

Fast forward to two years of their wedding and the power couple announced that they’re expecting their first child together. JJ shared a picture on his Instagram handle with Kealia announcing the news, captioned, “Could not be more excited.” A few weeks later, the couple attended the wedding of JJ’s younger brother, TJ. And the interesting part? The younger brother is also married to a pro soccer player, Dani Rhodes. Told y’all about the family, right?
