The Masters tournament teed off with a lot of fanfare and frenzy. And when someone talks about golf, the name Tiger Woods has to come up. Many fans believe that the golf world has found its next Tiger Woods in Tom Kim. As the tournament rush continued, an NFL veteran weighed in on the comparison.
Woods sank as Brooks Koepka established a strong lead in a rain-affected third round on Saturday. Koepka might be the leader, but it was Kim who drew comparisons with the golf legend. But what does Marcellus Wiley think about it?

Marcellus Wiley doesn’t hold back on his opinion. The former Buffalo Bills defensive end talked about South Korea’s Tom Kim and the comparisons he drew with Tiger Woods before the Masters tournament tee off on the Augusta National Golf course.
“We saw his charisma on display. You know he’s killer with those irons you could see all of that. Now he got his Nike sponsorship so the guy is on his way, but what was he like two years ago? A lot of people didn’t see him, they didn’t see him coming. Just got his tour status in those last two years. He had temporary status on the PGA tour, turned that into a couple victories,” Wiley summed up Kim’s career so far on his ‘More To It’ podcast.
Wiley is of the opinion that fans are comparing Kim with Woods because that’s what they have always done. For him, Woods is still the king of the sport.
“Now people are like we’re gonna watch Tiger Woods just because that’s what we do. Tiger Woods is still the king of the sport in terms of viewership and ratings,” the former DE added.

It is a big achievement for Kim to be compared with Woods at the young age of 20. But who is Tom Kim exactly?
Who is the next Tiger Woods?
Fans are calling him the next Tiger Woods, but even Tom Kim isn’t his real name. Kim goes by the name Kim Joo-hyung in his native South Korea. He opened his PGA tour titles account just last year. The 20-year-old has won two titles each on the PGA Tour, Asian Tour, and Korean Tour. And who does he look up to? It is none other than Woods himself. Nothing like being compared to his owl-sporting idol.
