Ciara recently shared a video talking about the essence of her newest release, and Ciara emphasizes the message is one of “independence”.
“Independence is in the eyes of the beholder, how you look at it. And you know I think it’s also beautiful in your love when your husband or your partner when they speak life into your independence and they celebrate that they encourage you to you know, go and do and get all that is out there for you and they celebrate who you are,” she said.
Ciara even recalled her own experiences, “They don’t try to dim your light. I’ve been there before.”
She went on spreading her message with her smile that reflected strength, “But I will say I think that’s an incredible gift you know when you have that if someone’s just saying go get them, mama. And they value that part of you. So, I thought I’d share that as well but you know this song it’s for every girl around the world and it really is a celebration of independence.”
Ciara even took to Twitter, inspiring many young women in the process.

Ciara and Future began dating in 2013 and got engaged within the next few months. Just a year later, Ciara was blessed with her first baby boy. Their relationship was however a short one, as Ciara soon walked away from Future after finding out he’s been sneaking around with stylist Tyrina Lee.
The couple tried working things out for the baby’s sake, but Ciara simply had enough. Eventually, in 2015, Ciara met Russell Wilson and sparks began flying. Future, on the other hand, still remained salty about the separation and went on several Twitter rants about Ciara, calling her names along the way.
