Dallas hosted the Giants at Arlington on the eve of Thanksgiving. Both the teams were 7-3 and were thirsty to win the NFC East crown.
Peyton Henderson, a 23-year-old tight end, scored a two-yard touchdown. To celebrate that, tight ends Dalton Schultz, Jake Ferguson, Peyton Hendershot, and Sean McKeon jumped into the kettle to play the game of Whack-A-Mole celebration in the Salvation Army bucket.
The kettle celebration has become a tradition for the Cowboys. Although the team members know that the celebration will have consequences, they happily pay their fines and also enjoy the extra attention the charity gets.

I’m intrigued by the various amounts of fines. Some moles were fined more than others? It was awesome btw.

A fan commented:
The irony here is stuff like this brings makes the NFL more money. It puts more fans in the stands, creates greater TV viewership, and gets more merch off the shelves. If anything, the NFL should cut them a bonus check.

Since the NFL is a 510 (c) (3) Corporation, the league can definitely look out to donate the money to charity. The Thanksgiving game was the most watched regular season game. It attracted over 42 million viewers.

Elliott Ezekiel is infamous for using the red kettle as a ‘prop.’ In 2016, he hid inside the kettle and in 2018, he dropped Prescott in it. The whole point of the stint is to garner attention for the noble cause. And since the players do such funny activities around it, the mission of bringing attention to the Salvation Army gets accomplished.
