The sports world is full of strange and unlikely friendships. While we can easily imagine Cristiano Ronaldo and Tom Brady being good friends, few expected this duo to be friends. Yes, we are talking about McLaren speedster Daniel Ricciardo and Buffalo Bills’ star quarterback Josh Allen.
F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo and Bills’ QB Josh Allen are best friends
As we saw last week, Daniel Ricciardo revealed he’s a Buffalo Bills fan with a delightful video. However, his friendship with the leader of the Bills Mafia, Josh Allen, is something we know little about. But now, we know fully how they instantly hit it off and became friends, and how they can relate to each other.

Speaking to Marty Smith on ESPN, F1 icon Daniel Ricciardo and early NFL MVP candidate Josh Allen talked about their friendship. Ricciardo spoke first, claiming, “It’s been like step brothers. Somehow, we just became best friends. Just a flick of a finger. No, it was Monaco, right? Monaco 2019?” Allen replied, “We’re talking, and he’s like we’re Buffalo Bills fans and they had jerseys, and I thought it was the weirdest thing.”

Ricciardo further talked about their interaction at the Monaco Grand Prix. “My performance coach, Michael, actually had a Bills jersey and yeah, when we met Josh he was like alright, ‘Sold!’. And I mean the Bills Mafia really reminds me of a lot of my friends back home. I could definitely see I’d fit right into the Bills Mafia.”

Ricciardo is a big-time Buffalo Bills fan
With clips of the Bills Mafia partying and enjoying themselves as they always do, we can easily imagine the Honey Badger finding solace in them. Being an F1 driver is an arduous task, but Ricciardo makes it look easy. His character off the grid is infectious and makes it no surprise he was the first driver showcased on Netflix’s Drive to Survive.

Add to that the fact that he’s an NFL fan, that too a Bill Mafia member. This man is clearly aces in our eyes. Good luck to him ahead of the US Grand Prix.
