2019 regular season NFL MVP Lamar Jackson has graced the cover of the Madden video game. The 23-year-old Baltimore Ravens quarterback set the league on fire last season with 43 rushing and throwing touchdowns. As a result, he became only the second player to claim the MVP award unanimously. Now, he has given fans a sneak peek at the cover of the latest edition of the game.

In a tweet, Jackson wrote, “From the South of Florida to the Cover of Madden 21. A dream come true.”

He shared three images of the covers as well. Here, one image features Jackson in monochrome with his helmet at the end of the play. At the bottom right in Tony letting it’s written, “not bad for a running back.” This is a dig at all teams that wanted to draft the Louisville Cardinals prospect as a running back instead of a quarterback as he desired.

The second image is of the Deluxe Edition version. Here, in a collage, the quarterback is seen tossing the football in his own hand, giving an intense look and seemingly on one of his scintillating dashes across the field as he leaps into the air.

The final image is yet another collage with the central image featuring the cover athlete setting up to toss the football upfield. Three other images show him smiling and celebrating, and along with a jam-packed stand, we see the words “generation rising.”

The game is being dominated by a new generation of NFL stars. Jackson is the second sophomore quarterback in a row to claim the regular season MVP.

Earlier, quarterback Patrick Mahomes claimed the honor and seemingly ended the Madden curse as he took the Chiefs to Super Bowl glory. By featuring on the video game cover he joined the likes of Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and Odell Beckham Jr.
