The fashion model and philanthropist Gisele Bündchen has addressed enormous crowds on many occasions. She is a brilliant talker who keeps her listener engaged in her stories. However, once when the 42-year-old had to give a speech in front of 100,000 people in 2017, the fashion icon experienced extreme nervousness.

The beautiful model wrote anecdotes from her personal life in her autobiography, Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life. She provided a unique glimpse into her private life by writing about everything, from her morning routine to her darkest moments. One opportunity she wrote about in the book was when she received the honor of opening the biggest music festival, Rock in Rio.
Gisele Bündchen did not fear writing about how anxious she was before she stepped on the stage. The model had never written a speech before, but she felt the weight of the responsibility. Therefore, she buckled up and gave it her best!
On the stage, the model talked about unity and about imagining and working towards creating the perfect world. “I talked about the power of the collective, and about hope, and about all of us standing together. At one point my emotions overtook me, and I started crying,” wrote Bündchen about her heart-warming experience. The model was teary-eyed but kept talking. Later, singer Ivete Sangalo joined her when she sang a rendition of ‘Imagine’ by John Lennon.

In her New York Times best-selling memoir, the supermodel talked about the importance of self-discipline and dedication. The former Victoria’s Secret Model could only give a heartfelt speech because she understood how important the event was for her; which, in turn, motivated her to follow the path of discipline and give her best.
After she looked back on one of the most nerve-wracking days in her life, the runway vixen told her readers how proud she made herself.

In 2015, Taschen published a book that celebrated Gisele’s 23 blockbuster years in the fashion industry. There, she had to choose three hundred pictures. It was an impossible task since she had worked so much! “For the first time ever I gave myself a pat on the back. You did okay, I thought. You did it…And today, you’re not only sane, you’re stronger, wiser, and more confident.”
