The Chiefs are leading the charge this year, too. Riding on the back of Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes’ breakthrough performances, the Chiefs are now sailing toward another playoff berth. With three back-to-back wins, the crazy train is not showing any signs of slowing down. While it’s difficult to take away your attention from the Kelce-Taylor Swift saga, Mahomes is turning all strides in the favor of the Chiefs.
With more than 1,000 passing yards and eight touchdowns, Mahomes had picked up from the same place he had left in the last season. The two-time Super Bowl champion is now eyeing another big clash with the Vikings in the Sunday showdown at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

It has been three years since Mahomes became the fastest player to reach 10,000 passing yards, scoring the extraordinary feat in just 34 games against the Baltimore Ravens. He surpassed the likes of Kurt Warner and Matthew Stafford and registered his name in the record books. The Chiefs’ Twitter handle has been seen teasing the state of Minnesota regarding Mahomes’ records.

The ‘10,000’ reference was used pretty cheekily. As we know, Minnesota has over 10,000 lakes — 11,842, precisely. And as it has been three years since Mahomes achieved the record-breaking feat, the game is also just around the corner with only three days left. Swift is rumored to attend the game. The Minneapolis mayor has personally invited the singer to the next big event.

How are the Chiefs and Vikings staking up?
While the Chiefs decimated the Chicago Bears 41-10 two weeks ago, they had a narrow escape, 23-20, against the Jets last Sunday at MetLife. As the games are done and dusted, the Chiefs have immense confidence in their capabilities. The champions registered three back-to-back wins with only one loss in their first game, which was a close encounter.
On the other hand, the Vikings started their season on a sour note. Though they have been fighting great, the results are not going their way. The first three games resulted in consecutive losses for the side. Their win in the last game against the Panthers means they have high morale coming into the Sunday clash. Kirk Cousins and Jefferson both secured two touchdowns each. The Chiefs are the favorite to win in the Sunday clash, but don’t underestimate the Vikings. With their newfound form, the game is looking set to become another nail-biter.
