Last Sunday, the NFL saw a huge blowout. From running back Christian McCaffrey to wider receivers like Tyreek Hill, Deandre Hopkins, and Deebo Samuel, everyone was injured. Besides them, some teams further had a baffling evening when quarterbacks like Ryan Tannehill, Jimmy Garoppolo, Justin Fields, Deshaun Watson, and Trevor Lawrence all sustained injuries, leading to speculation on their comeback.

Now NFL Week 7 has arrived. All eyes were set on the teams that were dealing with quarterback-injury situations. While some teams remain in doubtful situations this week, good news for the Jacksonville Jaguars and their fans emerged. Their QB Trevor Lawrence’s condition improved, and by defying all odds, he made his comeback.

Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence sustained a left knee injury while playing against the Indianapolis Colts this past Sunday. He was sacked in the late fourth quarter and was replaced by backup QB C.J. Beathard. Although the team won over the Colts with a 37-20 victory, the Jaguars were in a dilemma for Lawrence’s comeback in their next game against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday. The 24-year-old QB had limited participation on Tuesday and Wednesday and was listed as questionable on Thursday.

However, just some hours ago, ahead of Thursday night football, it was revealed that Lawrence is active and is going to participate in his next game at Caesars Superdome. Not only did he play, Lawrence also led his team to their fourth straight 31-24 win by completing 20 of 29 passes for 204 yards and one touchdown. This matchup also emerged as the best start for the Jaguars since opening 5-2 in 2007. However, many times, the Jaguars indeed gave the Saints opportunities to bounce back, but still, Lawrence and his army pulled their victory from them.

Although Trevor Lawrence came back into the game with another win, all eyes are now set on the next matchup between the Las Vegas Raiders and Chicago Bears, as their QB situation is still unclear.

Will Jimmy Garoppolo and Justin Fields return in their next

The Las Vegas Raiders and Chicago Bears will face off against each other on Sunday, October 22, at 1:00 p.m. ET. This game will be crucial for both teams as their first quarterbacks’ situation is still under looming clouds. Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo sustained a back injury during the first half when playing against the New England Patriots last Sunday. He was then transported to a hospital by ambulance from Allegiant Stadium to check whether there was any serious injury or not.

However, team coach Josh McDaniels revealed later that he “dodged a bullet” and is not having any serious trouble. Since then, Garoppolo’s comeback for their next game has been under heavy debate. Now, as per the sources, it is revealed that Garoppolo will not play on Sunday against the Bears. Coach McDaniels also expressed that the next few days will give a brief idea of Garoppolo’s situation.

Apart from him, the team that the Raiders are going to face is in the same situation as the Raiders. Bears quarterback Justin Fields also suffered a dislocated thumb injury on his throwing hand when playing against the Minnesota Vikings. Eventually, he left the game of Week 6 and didn’t return to the field. This doubted Fields’ status of coming back for his next game against the Raiders. Now the sources reveal that Fields, too, is unlikely to play his next game, as he hasn’t practiced this week and remained absent on Thursday too.

Replacing Fields, there is a high chance that backup QB Tyson Bagent will play against the Raiders. And on the other side, Jimmy Garoppolo, veteran Brian Hoyer, or rookie Aidan O’Connell will start in their Week 7 matchup. Now it will be interesting to see how well these backup QBs perform when replacing their first starters.
