NFL Week 5 is underway, and there have been moments when games took surprising turns this Sunday. From the possibility of seeking revenge to alleged favoritism, all of this unfolded on October 8. Among all the games, two teams that have been in the spotlight experienced some unexpected twists.
On one side, the Kansas City Chiefs won in the U.S. Bank Stadium for the first time in NFL history against the Minnesota Vikings, while on the other side, the New York Jets secured their second win of the season against the Denver Broncos, following their Week 1 victory. However, that’s not all; there’s more to these two games, as highlighted by well-known NFL reporter Dov Kleiman recently.
What are the two pointers shared by Dov Kleiman?

The NFL reporter, Dov Kleiman, shared two tweets back-to-back within hours that are worth noticing. First, he posted a tweet that delved deeper into the Chiefs benefiting from calls. He tweeted with a video of the incident and wrote, “On 4th and 12, the #Chiefs got bailed by the refs… again. No call on the DPI and for CB L’Jarius Sneed taking his helmet off right in front of the refs!” The Chiefs vs. the Vikings game saw two overlooked calls by the officials that, if considered, could have potentially helped the Vikings at least tie the game. However, with both calls being ignored, the Chiefs once again gained an advantage and won against the Vikings, similar to their advantage in the previous game against the Jets at MetLife Stadium.
The #Jets with a perfect tweet to Sean Payton 🤣

On the other hand, after the Jets vs. Broncos game, Kleiman posted another tweet in which he wrote, “The #Jets with a perfect tweet to Sean Payton. Sean Payton said Hackett was one of the worst coaches in NFL history with the #Broncos last season..” He also shared a video in which the two rival coaches were seen shaking hands and hugging each other after the Jets’ 31-21 victory over the Broncos. This moment was interesting because Payton had previously made some negative comments about Jets OC Nathaniel Hackett.

The Chiefs secured a favorable advantage over the Vikings on Sunday. Trailing 27-20 with just under five minutes left in the fourth quarter and facing fourth and 12, Kirk Cousins took a shot to rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison in the end zone. Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed impeded Addison’s attempt at a catch, and the closest referee threw the flag for pass interference. The penalty would have given the Vikings the football at the one-yard line with a chance to tie the game. However, the referees conferred and reversed the call, giving the ball back to the Chiefs on a turnover on downs.
Furthermore, Sneed removed his helmet to argue with the refs after the pass interference call, which is an automatic penalty. However, he was still allowed to put his helmet back on, receiving another chance from the officials. Ultimately, the Chiefs won 27-20 over the Vikings. On the other hand, the coaches’ greeting is noteworthy. In July this year, Sean Payton took some negative shots at coach Jets OC Hackett, who was once in charge of the Orange Crush team. Payton stated that Nathaniel Hackett turned in “one of the worst coaching jobs in the history of the NFL” with the Broncos last season. However, now that Payton is leading the Broncos, the team still holds a devastating record of 1-4 losses.

Perhaps, Hackett, Robert Saleh and his team sought revenge against Payton and his company by defeating them on Sunday.
