The chronicles of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s ‘Love Story’ are moving at full throttle. After the pop singer’s absence at U.S. Bank Stadium last Sunday, her next appearance is highly anticipated now than any of her albums. The weekend hasn’t been very memorable for Travis, as he injured his ankle in the second quarter against the Vikings and will likely miss the next game. Amid this, the Chiefs‘ tight end has found his new interest in someone else and wants a long conversation. Scare alert for the Swifties?

No, the duo didn’t break up. Travis, along with his brother Jason, has revealed that he has been wanting NBA legend LeBron James as a guest on their podcast, New Heights, for quite some time now. The words have reached the man, as LeBron James shared his desire to get on the show in a tweet last week. Travis spoke about the tweet in the show’s latest episode.

October 4 didn’t promise to be a special day in Travis Kelce’s life. The tight end was mostly relaxing after a hard-fought win over the Zach Wilson-led Jets two days earlier. But that was until the tweet from the Los Angeles Lakers star made it special for him. At that point, it was well known that the brothers had LeBron James top their priority list for future show guests for quite a while. And the news didn’t go unnoticed by King James. He posted a smart tweet, pushing the ball to the hosts’ court for further judgments.

“Crazy I can’t get a invite to join yall fantastic show! Is it because you guys are truly the Kings of NE Ohio and I claim to be? Be honest!”, tweeted James, appreciating their efforts. “Seriously you guys are AWESOME!!”

The brothers in their studios were clearly over the moon with the tweet. Especially Travis, who couldn’t contain his excitement and recalled the time when he had attended a high school basketball game featuring LeBron James.

Jason straight up replied, “Listen, LeBron, you’re welcome. Whenever you want to come on, brother.” But Travis was a bit too deep with the emotions as he revealed an entire story from his childhood. “I remember I went to a game down in Cleveland State when I was in seventh grade to go watch LeBron James play high school basketball. He was selling out arenas like all over Northeast Ohio because so many tickets that they had to take it to a college arena,” Travis said.

“The Gun Arena at the time or the Cavs Arena, it was either one of those two. I ended up seeing him at Cleveland State and man he went off the backboard, and threw it down. I was out, I was out of my seat, I was like a little kid getting excited for the new wave of what the NBA was going to look like. And sure enough, he didn’t disappoint man, he just kept rising and rising,” Travis shared his craze for the NBA legend.
