The Las Vegas Raiders have scored a hat-trick. Well, not a winning streak, but a losing one. In their Week 4 match-up, the Raiders lost another one-score game, being defeated by the Los Angeles Chargers 24-17. Frustration is clearly mounting among the Raiders’ ranks at the moment.

If the NFL was about which team fought the hardest, the Raiders could have a chance at glory. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. While the Raiders fought back bravely to try to tie the game in the last quarter, the 2023 season is quickly spiraling out of control for the men in Silver and Black. It seems the Raiders have no room for a feel-good story.

The Las Vegas Raiders already had a dent in their O-line with starting QB Jimmy Garoppolo sidelined due to concussion protocols. During their epic showdown, the Raiders’ QB champ took a hit on the helmet by the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Minkah Fitzpatrick. Garoppolo was a limited participant in Monday’s practice ahead of the Raiders’ clash with the Chargers. With their trusted QB not on the gridiron, rookie backup Aidan O’Connell shouldered the responsibility for the first since being drafted. With their rookie backup being sacked repeatedly, the Raiders’ frustration reached new levels.

Social media sleuth Dov Kleiman took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share a snippet from the Raiders’ running back Josh Jacobs’s conversation with the media, with the caption: “#Raiders RB Josh Jacobs told media: “I’m tired of losing, just keep it 100, I’m tired of f—ing losing.” When asked if it helps knowing the games are close: “No man it makes it worse.” “You’re tired of saying 5-6 plays…it’s just time to do that sh-t.””

Jacobs scored his first touchdown of the season, along with eight receptions for a career-high 81 receiving yards.

Aidan O’Connell’s promising debut: A glimpse of hope in the Raiders offense

Aidan O’Connell showed some promise in the Raiders offense, even with a loss to the Chargers. It will be worth watching to see if there will be any quarterback competition between Garoppolo and O’Connell as the season continues. In Week 5, the Raiders are gearing up for their clash of titans with the Green Bay Packers, led by QB Jordan Love, at their home turf, Allegiant Stadium.
