Nagy said, “They can play a bunch of different coverages. I think you look at the DNA of Coach Flores as a defensive coordinator. And you know he’s always wanted to present some type of challenge with pressure. Whether it’s bringing a lot of people or not bringing many people, um, coverage techniques.

With Nagy hailing the Vikings’ defense, quarterback Mahomes faces a new challenge to bypass the strong Vikings’ defense and lodge his fourth consecutive victory.

Vikings vs Chiefs: the challenge

Safety Camryn Bynum, linebacker Jordan Hicks, and defensive tackle Harrison Phillips will hope to challenge the Chiefs’ offense. In the 2023 season, with 25, 19, and 16 solo tackles, Bynum, Hicks, and Phillips stand strong against Mahomes and his offense. With a hat trick of victories, the Chiefs are a strong contender for the Vikings. In the past four games, the Chiefs are roaring with one defeat and three victories. On the other hand, the Vikings are moving forward with three losses and one win, with their victory being the latest against the Carolina Panthers.

However, coach Nagy covered this facet of the Vikings’ defense when he shared: “Pretty much like any defense in this league, it all starts on the front end. And they got some guys there that can get after the quarterback. I think you match those guys up with the scheme on the back end and the players that they have, uh, they can be a very, very good defense.” These two collide to move closer to their Super Bowl goal.
