Taylor Swift has been the newest face on the grid in the NFL. And she’s not even attended more than two games. Swift’s NFL journey kicked off in September when rumors swirled about her hanging out with Kansas City Chiefs‘ tight end, Travis Kelce. The duo finally went public with their Arrowhead Stadium debut on September 24, as Swift cheered Kelce on against the Chicago Bears. 

But she didn’t stop there; she jet-setted to the Big Apple to catch Kelce in action against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium. And she brought some A-list pals along for the ride. Taking it up a notch, Swift even extended an invite to Brittany Mahomes to join her in the lap of luxury in her suite.

Swift’s NFL timeout: Love, rumors, and radio silence

Since her last appearance at MetLife, Taylor Swift seems to have called an audible on her NFL involvement. She was MIA at U.S. Bank Stadium during week 5 when the Chiefs faced off against the Minnesota Vikings. Rumors swirled that the love story of the season had hit a speed bump, as their whirlwind romance suddenly went radio silent. 

On the ‘New Heights’ podcast, hosted by the dynamic Kelce duo, Travis dropped a nugget of truth–Swift doesn’t really enjoy the media attention. Backing that up, it was reported that she decided to sit out Kelce’s pre-Vikings birthday bash. 

In another episode, Kelce tackled the hot topic, admitting that maybe the NFL hype machine had gone a tad too wild.

Swift, on the other hand, has a playbook for keeping her personal life on lockdown. Her last six-year romance with Joe Alwyn was a masterclass in staying undercover. So, it looks like she’s taking a timeout from the NFL scene for now.

However, Swift did her own version of a two-minute drill, making appearances at two of Kelce’s games, and the NFL cashed it in big time. Ticket sales skyrocketed, and those jerseys were flying off the shelves. It was like a match made in commercial heaven.
