Things have started to unfold smoothly between Brittany Mahomes and Taylor Swift. Since the day Travis Kelce was linked with the pop singer, a lot has been talked about about her relationship with Patrick Maomes‘ wife, Brittany Mahomes. But everything died down, or rather escalated to a whole new level when Taylor affectionately hugged Brittany after the two Chiefs stars connected for a second-quarter catch.

Kelce’s ex, Kayla Nicole, was one of Brittany’s best buddies during their time together. But that is past now, and Brittany doesn’t seem to be holding back her feelings for Taylor. One from Brittany’s close circle revealed what Brittany thinks of the 12-time Grammy winner.

The Chiefs’ game against the Broncos was interesting for more than one reason. While the worst takeaway was that the Broncos have completely fallen apart and are 1-5 in the season, the best was the two super ladies engaging in a heartwarming moment in the second quarter.

After tight end Kelce received a challenging 20-yard pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the whole stadium cheered out loud. But the best reaction came from the VIP suite when Taylor Swift stood up in excitement and immediately hugged Brittany in the presence of Kelce’s parents, Ed and Donna Kelce. Brittany hugged her back just as naturally, and the two remained next to each other for the rest of the game.

Naturally, Brittany does think of the singer in high regard, as one source has recently pointed out to Us Weekly. “Brittany is thrilled to be building a genuine friendship with Taylor. They’ve hung out a couple of times and have grown fairly close in a short period of time. Brittany thinks Taylor is so sweet, and down to earth, and they get along really great”, according to the source.

The two met for the first time at a girls’ night out in late September and have kept in touch since. She and her husband Patrick are seemingly big fans of the $740 million singer, and the couple even went to the singer’s Eaas Tour in Kansas City back in July. Patrick’s close relationship with Travis has made the bond between the two women even stronger. The source concluded, “The fact that Patrick and Travis are best friends makes things even better. They’re having a blast and love cheering on their men together.”

This isn’t a first for Brittany, though; she is known to get along well with most. Her bonding with Travis’ ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, was just as close as the storyline suggests.

Travis and Kayla dated for 5 years, from 2017 to 2022, before she broke up with the tight end. But while they were together, Kayla shared a close relationship with many from the Chiefs community, especially Brittany. So much so that she was one of Brittany’s bridesmaids at her wedding with Patrick in 2021.

It’s incredibly beautiful to see that Brittany has gotten over the past, and Taylor too, keeping her status outside of the fanbase.
