The Kansas City Chiefs are known to be highly offensive in their plays. Their offense brings terror into the hearts of defenders, and that has been the case for some time now. But Skip Bayless uncovers for fans what Patrick Mahomes said regarding this famous offensive play by TE Travis Kelce.

As the Broncos came to visit the Chiefs at Arrowhead, Travis Kelce’s rumored beau, Taylor Swift, was once again present. After a no-show at the Vikings game, Swift, donning a classic Chiefs jacket, was supporting Kelce. Is this why Kelce did that play on the field to impress Taylor Swift?

Twelve-time Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Taylor Swift is usually the one who’s known for her creativity. But on Thursday night, Travis Kelce wowed her and the fans with his creativity. The 34-year-old made a hook and lateral play to get first down that wasn’t planned by HC Andy Reid.

Andy Reid usually takes up the nitty-gritty of the game planning and specific plays on the field. These plays are rehearsed and drilled in the training sessions. This is so that when the game time comes, everyone is aware of their roles. But against the Broncos, Kelce was on his own.

As Skip Bayless revealed, even superstar QB Patrick Mahomes wasn’t aware of what Kelce was doing with that lateral pass to fellow TE Noah Gray. But Mahomes confessed to the media afterward that Kelce had that in his bag.

Kelce is enjoying his freedom

The 2X Super Bowl winner, Trav, was on fire against the Broncos throughout the game. Running for 124 yards, almost as the entire opposition team. He received nine balls with an astonishing average of 13.8 yards per catch. The Chiefs won out against the Broncos comfortably at 19-8. Kelce’s out-of-the-book plays not only impressed Swift but QB Mahomes as well.

At the post-match press conference, Mahomes stated, “We give so much freedom to Trav that I guess all of it is called but all of it isn’t called. So I know he’s definitely not post to pitch the ball that’s the one I know for sure.”
