Miami Dolphins fans wouldn’t be able to believe the turn of events. And probably even the Carolina Panthers couldn’t believe their eyes looking at the final results. And yet there it was as numbers do not lie! The winless, 0-5 Panthers had managed to score 2 touchdowns in the first quarter itself. On the other hand, Tua Tagovailoa and Co. were sitting at a 0.
This came as a shock to the football world as the Dolphins boasted one of the strongest offenses in the league. And the Panthers? Well, their 0-5 record speaks for itself. But as the game entered the second half, it only turned out to be the calm before the storm of the anticipated end.

Chuba Hubbard opened the points door for the Panthers with a 6-yard TD run. And then Adam Thielen established a 14-point lead over the Dolphins with just 6 seconds remaining for the end of the first quarter. The Dolphins weren’t going to take this embarrassment lying down. And in the second quarter, they returned with vengeance in their eyes.
Tua Tagovailoa established himself as a serious contender for the title of “Super Bowl MVP” with his plays. He made three passes each to Raheem Mostert, Jaylen Waddle, and Tyreek “The Cheetah” Hill. And all three passes were at the end zone bumping up the Dolphins from 0 to 21.
According to the NFL’s official website, with these calculated passes, Tua managed to rake in 262 passing yards, the highest in the game. As the game entered half-time the score stood at 21-14, with the Panthers trailing, and matters seemed to move back in favor of the Dolphins as anticipated at the start.

The second half was even more eventful with Raheem Mostert scoring 2 more rushing TDs for the Dolphins. But then the Panthers had enough and Troy Hill scored the Panthers’ third touchdown of the game. The Dolphins sealed their victory with a TD by Salvon Ahmed with just two and a half minutes remaining on the clock.
If the Panthers had become hopeful after the first quarter, the Dolphins absolutely crushed them in the second quarter with their dominant performance. With this, the Dolphins matched their franchise record of 2006 of starting a season 5-1, sending across a message of pure confidence to their opposition.
With the trajectory that the Dolphins have followed this season, especially the 70-20 washout of the Broncos, they’ve set an NFL record. Their average per game score has been 37.1 points which is an all-time NFL high. The Carolina Panthers, on the other hand, managed to maintain their winless streak and are now at 0-6. With the Dolphins taking on the formidable and perfect 1.000 Philadelphia Eagles next week, will their 0.833 score go down?
