The two legends who were members of the undefeated 1972 squad joined the stars last week. The news couldn’t have been more devastating for fans, especially the Miami Dolphins, who suffered back-to-back losses of their Perfect Season members.
On one hand, the 75-year-old became the first CB to be named to the Pro Bowl, while on the other hand, his 76-year-old teammate brought laurels to the team, and also by winning the 1977 Super Bowl title for another team. As their souls departed from the world, the NFL community and fans came forward, weeping over the loss and sharing their tributes for legends Tim Foley and Hubert Ginn, the players of coach late Don Shula.
